Master Plan for Aging Listening Session

The NYS Department of Health (DOH/the Department) and the NYS Office for the Aging (NYSOFA) are inviting the public to an upcoming New York Master Plan for Aging (MPA) Listening Session in Syracuse on August 24, 2023.

The 1-hour event will provide attendees with an overview of the state’s efforts – through philanthropic, academic, private, and local partnerships – to become the most age- and disability-friendly state in the nation. The goal of the initiative is advancing transformative and cross-cutting strategies to address issues that all New Yorkers encounter within their lifetimes – and to do so with a sustained focus on ensuring equity in aging and disability.

HCP has committed to participate in many of the Master Plan’s subcommittees and workgroups because we believe that home care needs to be robustly represented in all discussions about the future of aging in New York. More information on the MPA is available at the dedicated website.
