Coordinator’s Workshop
Your workforce is critical to home care!
Best practices, education, and training for coordination and compliance staff
Onboarding, maintaining, and managing the home care aide workforce is essential for all home care agencies and critical in maintaining client and customer satisfaction. In this workshop, participants will receive training about effectively managing day-to-day care and service challenges while meeting clients’ care needs and achieving care outcomes.
Participants will build core skills including:
- Onboarding of home care aides
- Understanding NYS regulatory requirements for home care aides
- Tracking service hours efficiently
- Managing client schedules
- How to help achieve quality goals and role in Value-Based Payments
- How to increase customer satisfaction
- How to develop and retain paraprofessional staff
- Tips to problem-solve service delivery concerns
- How to respond to incidents and complaints
- Who Should Attend – New and experienced coordinators/schedulers, compliance staff, and their managers. Registration in teams is encouraged for maximum results.

Andrea Brown, RN, President/CEO of AB Coaching and Consulting, Inc. works with organizations to develop staff and improve efficiencies to meet the ongoing challenges of the healthcare delivery system.
She has more than twenty-five years of experience in home care where she has been responsible for Operations, Care and Service Delivery, Staff Education, Quality Management, and Compliance.
She has also provided clinical education for the New York City Department of Education’s licensed practical nursing program. In 2016, Ms. Brown was the lead curriculum developer for the New York City Career and Technical Education (CTE) Healthcare Core Curriculum and currently serves as a member of the New York City CTE Healthcare Commission.
