Kathy Febraio, President/CEO

Kathy Febraio has been the President/CEO of HCP since 2019. She is an experienced executive in the healthcare industry, with over 20 years of leadership experience in managing associations and trade groups. Her expertise lies in policy and legislative analysis, coalition building, and organizational transformation. In addition, she is responsible for overseeing the organization’s foundation that provides research and educational programs for the benefit of home care employees. Prior to joining HCP, she served as the Executive Director for the Pharmacists Society of the State of New York, Inc. and for the NYS Speech Language Hearing Association, Inc.

Laura Ehrich, Vice President of Public Policy

Laura comes to HCP with nearly a decade of experience in long-term care advocacy. Laura oversees development of HCP’s policies with respect to advancing access to home care, stabilizing the home care workforce, advocating for fair and adequate reimbursement rates and models, and enhancing the regulatory environment of the home care industry. Laura is multi-lingual and holds an MA in Social Policy from SUNY Empire State University. Her background in home care case management and experience serving Holocaust survivors wanting to age in the community inform her passion for positive social change, resulting in Laura being a well-rounded advocate for home care agencies. In her free time, Laura is a voracious reader. A native of Rochester, Laura is happy to make Troy her home. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, and relaxing anywhere water can be found. Laura is not afraid to ask tough questions to surface new ideas and foster innovation.

Carole Deyoe, RPh, Senior Associate of Public Policy

Carole joined HCP in 2020. Carole is a New York State registered pharmacist who most recently served as the Director of Pharmacy Practice at the Pharmacists Society of the State of New York. Her experience with associations along with her involvement in member services, advocacy, education, and government relations make her a valuable addition to our public policy team. Carole’s involvement with advocacy included legislative review and commentary, as well as event coordination and member education. She is well versed in the complexities of the legislative process, and the inner workings of state agencies. With many years of experience as a stand-up comic, she now enjoys the occasional opportunity to present her brand of inspiration and humor to a variety of groups. She’s glad to have some time left for her grandsons and for exploring the woods and beaches on foot and on a stand-up paddleboard.

Mary Dworakowski, Senior Director of Administration & Finance

Mary joined HCP in 2002 and has held various positions in the Financial Division over the years. In her current role, Mary is responsible for maintaining the Association’s financials, reports and all insurance products, working with HCP’s external accountants and other financial entities, and she oversees and manages the Association’s human resources department. Mary also supports and sets up HCP and foundation Board meetings and coordinates all HCP staff-related activities.

Outside of work, Mary serves on the St. Jude Parish Council, volunteers for many church and community activities, and in 2011 she received the St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Community Service Award. She is also a Team Manager with Tastefully Simple and has received a variety of sales awards. In her “spare time,” she enjoys spending time with her four grown children and their families.

Dena Collins, Director of Information Systems

Dena joined HCP in 1990, she has held many positions over the years with the Association.  Today, Dena directs and manages all aspects of HCP’s infrastructure, including the administration of the Association’s computer hardware, software, computer network and the HCP and foundation websites. She also maintains HCP’s database and manages relationships with external IT vendors.

Dena loves spending time with family, friends and her three dogs, Cassie, Josie and Reggie.  When she’s not relaxing at her camp in the Adirondacks, Dena loves to get away from it all. One of her most recent adventures was island-hopping for 10 days in the Caribbean with friends.

Cynthia Pritchard, Director of Events and Education

Cynthia Pritchard joined HCP in 2021 as a hospitality industry expert with 25 years of meetings, conferences, and association event experience. Cynthia has extensive background in catering management, sales, vendor, exhibit coordination and onsite execution. She loves to travel and spend time with her children; teaching them her passion for volleyball and tennis. She is also an active community volunteer.

Cynthia is responsible for the planning and execution of the organization’s programs as well as planning and support for the HCP Annual Management Conference & Exhibition.

Caroline Casale, Director of Membership and Marketing

HCP is pleased to announce the recent hire of Caroline Casale as our new Director of Membership and Marketing! 

Caroline is excited to begin her role in marketing and membership at HCP, and the entire HCP staff is thrilled to have her join us. She has many exciting plans to promote the importance of home care and the role HCP plays in providing advocacy, education, and support to home care agencies.
