ALBANY, NY – Robert Ward has joined the New York State Association of Health Care Providers (HCP) as Associate for Public Policy. Ward will support HCP’s legislative and regulatory advocacy, grassroots campaigns and other related policy initiatives on behalf of New York State’s home care industry.
Prior to joining HCP, Ward was a Research Administrator for Maximus, where he worked in the research division of the New York State of Health Marketplace. As an administrator, he helped process applications and mail, resolved small business financial inquiries and mentored new hires. Ward also served as a student intern in the New York State Department of Health’s Medicaid Managed Care Investigation Unit in the Office of Health Insurance Programs, where he worked to resolve consumer coverage and eligibility issues for Child Health Plus and supported the Department’s Medicaid Managed Care plan initiatives.
Ward holds a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in health policy/management and information management from the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs & Policy at the University at Albany and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the State University of New York at Fredonia.
