Reminder: Failure to Submit a Timely Statistical Report and Register with DOH by November 16 Could Lead to License Revocation

As a result of the 2018-19 Enacted State Budget, all Licensed Home Care Services Agencies (LHCSAs), including those affiliated with an Assisted Living Program (ALP), are required to register with the New York State Department of Health (DOH/the Department). LHCSA registration for the period beginning January 1, 2019, can only be accomplished through the successful submission of a complete 2017 LHCSA Statistical Report. The deadline to submit a Statistical Report and register with the Department is November 16, 2018.

Failure to submit a Statistical Report by the November 16 deadline will lead to monetary fines and possible license revocation. Due to the significant penalties associated with failing to submit a Statistical Report, it is highly recommended that members begin the Statistical Report process well in advance of the deadline to avoid last minute issues.

The Statistical Report software is available for download on the Healthcare Financial Data Gateway on the Health Commerce System (HCS). HCP highly encourages all members to view Statistical Report instructional documents, videos, and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) documents to ensure accurate submission. To access the documents, sign on to the HCS, and click: My Content on the top purple toolbar --> Documents by Group --> View all Document Groups --> Long Term Care --> Training --> Home Care --> LHCSA Statistical Report.

Please send Statistical Report questions to HCP Associate for Government Affairs Scott Janke. Visit HCP’s State Policy and Guidelines website to access the Instructions for LHCSA Statistical Report and Registration Forms and 2017 LHCSA Statistical Report Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) documents.
