In preparation for the New York State Department of Health (DOH/the Department) Office of Health Emergency Preparedness’ (OHEP) upcoming IOC Drill in October, the Department has developed two training webinars:
- Exercises 101 - September 6, 2018
- Writing an After-Action Report – September 21, 2018
The webinar presentations are now available on HCP’s Emergency Preparedness website , presented by CHC, HCP’s educational affiliate, and its Emergency Preparedness grant partner, the NYS DOH OHEP
Both webinars were designed to assist partners that are new to emergency preparedness (EP) exercises and drills. The target audience for the webinars were home care providers, nursing home staff, community health care center staff and adult care facility staff responsible for conducting exercises.
OHEP is required to conduct two annual IOC Drills. Agencies are required to participate in emergency response Drills, which are conducted by the Department through the Health Commerce System (HCS) Health Emergency Response Data System (HERDS).
