Master Plan for Aging Town Halls

The NYS Department of Health (DOH/the Department) and the NYS Office for the Aging (NYSOFA) are inviting the public to their upcoming New York Master Plan for Aging (MPA) Town Halls.

The events will provide attendees with an overview of the state’s efforts to date to implement Governor Hochul’s plan for New York to become the most age- and disability-friendly state in the US. The MPA employs philanthropic, academic, private, public, and local partnerships in its work.

As we’ve been reporting, HCP has been an active participant in the MPA process and plans to continue its involvement with workgroups pertinent to home and community-based services (HCBS).

HCP Support

HCP has committed to participate in many of the Master Plan’s subcommittees and workgroups because we believe that home care needs to be robustly represented in all discussions about the future of aging in New York. More information on the MPA is available at the dedicated website.

Contact the HCP Public Policy staff with any questions about the MPA in general or regarding your participation in these events and discussions.
