Cuomo Administration Hosts Long Term Care Stakeholder Meeting

On July 11, HCP President, Claudia Hammar, and Director for Public Policy, Alyssa Lovelace, attended a Stakeholder Listening Session on Long Term Care and Primary Care hosted by Cuomo Administration staff, Deputy Secretary for Health and Human Services, Paul Francis and Assistant Secretary for Health, Megan Baldwin. Also in attendance were staff from the New York State Department of Health (DOH) and New York State Division of Budget (DOB). This meeting was one of a series of meetings held by the Administration to solicit feedback from a variety of industry stakeholders and advocates ahead of the 2018-19 State Budget.

During the hour-long session, State home care, long term care, and primary care association representatives discussed their associations’ priorities for the upcoming Legislative Session, issues of concern and new initiatives that would help advance the State’s efforts toward value-based payment and integrated care delivery models.
